Description

Another older painting (sorry again, as mentioned I am trying to repopulate my gallery once more) :)

In ancient times, Wax - Dragons have been known to humans as sources of great wisdom.

Some of their body parts consist of wax elements and are very weak to physical attack. Thus those parts are covered with a transparent shell (specially the chest area - horns and parts of the head) which is supposed to gain them at least a minor protection against predators and heat.

Due to their great weakness and the fact that they are not meant to fight but rather serve as sources of inspiration and advisors, they have been driven very close to extinction.

It takes a long time until a Dragon of this kind makes friendship with a human being. A symbiosis which is however essential for their survival.
They are creatures of snakelike, delicate appearance and feed only on plants. Their character is very tender and protectful which in terms makes them even more vulnurable and weak.

Once a Wax - Dragon has found a human companion it stays loyal until it’s death.

I used pictures of my own hands for reference (but damn I wish I had slender hand as these and nails that long -.-)

Nice concept and story. I like to think like you that not all dragons are evil.
Wonderful lighting and nicely done hands (although her left ring-finger is maybe a bit too long)
One little crit about this part of her dress which is translucent, at the level of her left hand, under the dragon's head, and that becomes quite opaque in front of her :. I also think you could have better made the belt, which looks a bit quickly done.

It's interesting which piece of the ones I posted people like better :) Thanks a lot for all the comments I totally appreciate them.

Exorbac: hehe you got me there. The belt would have deserved some more attention, I totally agree. Also the transparency of the dress was not done to my satisfaction. It was the first of this kind and I think I did improve a bit with my "summer" piece. I am going to post this in a few days probably :)
Thanks for the feedback.

Loomax: Yeah I guess he does. He is supposed to be made of wax - I guess the smaller version doesn't really show that too well :)

Excellent work. I gotta say though, I prefer the previous version you had, for the background. The 'blue' version (I think you posted it in one of your tutorials). I really wish you kept it like that in all honesty. But I'll live.

Still, great work. +10

So you have come back, wonderful to see you around ;)
I don't know if I have stated my opinion to this yet. Well I really like it and so I will spare the nitpick about anatomy or so and just give you the 10/10 because you clearly deserve it.

Have fun! ;)

her right upper arm seems short, or the lower arm is too long, other than that, phenominal job! the colors and textures really bring a waxy sensation to the piece
