Personifiction of summer with the initial thought to make it a painting for my 4 year old godchild.

One of the best 2D paintings ever painted. I really adore your style. I´ve always wanted to start drawing (I actually did...) but when I see such perfectly rendered artworks I´m always "intimidated" in a way and I think "Well, let´s stay with photography..." ;-)
I wish I could give more than 9 points, which is my top mark I can give at the moment. But just take my "virtual" 100 points or so... ;-)

Marcotronic: duh, everyone started at some point but I know what you mean. I myself shy away from certain subjects such as landscape painting since I have a huge lack of experience with painting such and am afraid that I am going to embarras (spelling?) myself. It's natural however hindering if we shy away from new things
Besides like I said, we all started at one point or another. I actually posted an overview of my progress over the past few years (not sure if I still have it) but I might post it again specially for people who think they are not good enough. Fact is that talent is only a little part in doing something creative (I don't think I have that much talent really but I work hard and try to understand things around me). Work and exercise takes up more percentage then talent in a creative field in my opinion.
And isn't one of the advantages of digital painting that you don't have to be afraid to waste material with your try-outs? So you have nothing to lose really
